Yeah we initially planned it as a Highscore singleplayer but since it was too little time for both multiplayer and highscore we went for multiplayer. Also since the use of numbers is against the rules, at least the way we interpreted the rule about using text. It was hard to come up with a good highscore system. We did, however, as Andreas says come up with an idea about rubble piles as a substitute for numbers. Which could have worked quite nicely if we would have had more time :)

We did plan to have a pile of all the things you've sucked up as an indication of how you did. And a 1st to 3rd place on a high score. But one week is a short period of time and some things had to be cut.

Fun concept, and you've managed to create some nice looks in a short timespan. Could use some sort of scoring though (at least the singleplayer), as there's nothing really drawing you back after you've beaten the AI. Stats in the end on all the stuff you've sucked up would be cool too! :)

Cool game, but the A.I must stand on insane mode almost:P
I think he defeated me like 4 times before i won :D

See you guys created the game i xna :P
I try to learn xna 2 now, well have been some time since i tried it.
Last i remember of xna is that i is stuck in the 3D tutorial on the sounds, get some errors there.
But think i will find the error soon.

Wow, you've really used the rules well, I'm impressed. I like every aspect of this game, gameplay, sound, graphics. I really can't find anything worth complaining about. Not even the wierd shadow casting can upset me enough.. or how the cars/cattle interact with the borders. Well done.

I guess that's true, I had the idea, but he was the first to say it out loud. So yes, thanks Tom!

Communication, communication... It's just something about communication... :) I don't think you mentioned Katamari when you explained the original idea before we started refining it. Anyway Katamari is a cool game and it's a good source of inspiration for a game like ours. And the idea about having tornados grow in size was the one to thank Tom for. :)

What do you mean "thanks for the idea", Ekroth? The main inspiration I had when coming up with the basic idea for the game was Katamari =P. However I guess we should thank you for letting the rest of the group think about it =D

At the moment the tornadoes size is fixed. But its a very simple thing to add. Will check it out if we get the time. Thanks for the idea. :)

It almost look like the Katamari game, but there it is
a ball and not a tornado.
Will the tornado grow after how much it suck?

The multiplayer looks fun,

We seem to have the very same idea. Will be interesting to see the differences in feel and gameplay.

It's really hard to know where to draw the line, which is probably because there isn't a clear difference between 2d and 3d, or rather because games aren't that simple. Anyway, I'm not sure what the original idea of the rule was but as long you keep everything seemingly on one plane you shouldn't have any problems.

The rules state : "The gameplay must be in 2D." Which means that the graphics can be 3D aslong as the gameplay is done in strictly 2D. In Tornado everything in the gameplay is only 2D with 3D graphics layered on-top of it. Was a similar discussion two years ago and a game which used 3D graphics was allowed even though the rules said "2D gameplay only".

Too bad 3d isn't allowed according to the rules. :(

Most of all I just love the tagline "The more you suck, the better it ends". That goes right on the box.
